Our Members

All boys and girls are free to join any Group, wherever they live, and our members come from all over Woodley and the surrounding area.
This gives each child the chance to increase their circle of friends beyond their school environment.

As volunteers, we do our best to understand and meet the needs of each individual young person to enable them to fully participate in Scouting.

As a Group we always pay due regard to their and other people’s safety and individual needs, but with the minimum of fuss. This approach has been much appreciated by parents/carers, who want to ensure that their children are safe and happy but without them being singled out. Over the years we have successfully supported children with a wide range of needs.

Parents tell us Scouting gives their children more confidence, responsibility and a broader set of friends. Scouting can help develop your child’s social skills and encourage self-sufficiency, and gives them access to activities and opportunities that may have been otherwise unavailable to them.
